Privacy Policy

Last updated: not yet published

Draft, not legally reviewed. This describes what Proxipal actually stores today, as a starting point — it needs review by a qualified lawyer (including for NDPR compliance) before being treated as a final policy.

What we collect

  • Account info: email, display name, username, bio, avatar/cover photos.
  • Location: a general location you enter for your profile, and precise coordinates you or a provider explicitly choose to share when listing a service or viewing nearby recommendations (never collected silently).
  • Content you post: posts, comments, messages, community chat, reviews, listings.
  • Financial: wallet balance and transaction history, if you use paid features.
  • Usage: which features you use, to keep the app working and improve it.

How we use it

To run the platform — show you nearby services, deliver your messages, process bookings and payments, and keep the app secure (including rate-limiting abuse and enforcing blocks between users).

To show you more of the kinds of services and products you look at, we keep a record of the categories you search in, browse, open, add to your cart, and book — for example “Plumber” — for up to 180 days. We do not keep the text you type into search. You can switch this off at any time under Settings → Notifications → Privacy, after which nothing further is recorded.

Who can see what

Public content (posts, public listings, public community chat) is visible to anyone. Private content (direct messages, private community chat, wallet balance) is only visible to you and, where relevant, the other participant.

Your controls

You can block other users, manage notification preferences, and edit or remove your own content from Settings. Account deletion and data export are not yet available — this is a known gap being worked on.
